Opposition MPs Currently in Syunik: Ishkhan Sagatelyan Outlines Further Plans

Yesterday evening, it became known that opposition MPs in the National Assembly remain at the Lachin checkpoint, as they are not allowed to enter Artsakh.

“We are divided into three groups; currently, we are in Syunik with our other groups. We announced that we are making a three-day visit to Artsakh and the regions of Armenia, and we are moving according to that plan. Today we already have scheduled meetings in Syunik,” declared Ishkhan Sagatelyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and a member of the Armenia faction, in an interview with Auroranews.

We inquired with Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenia faction, regarding a Facebook post by fellow faction MP Aregnaz Manukyan, which stated that peacekeepers mentioned the list of MPs was made based on a joint decision of the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and they are simply fulfilling their wish. Manukyan confirmed this information. Gegham Manukyan noted that he had not heard such a thing.

It should be recalled that earlier Gegham Manukyan had stated that Russian peacekeepers did not allow Armenian MPs into Artsakh at the request of the Azerbaijani side.
