Gunfire Directed at Border Position in Kursk Region

The authorities of the Korenevsky district in the Kursk region, adjacent to Ukraine, have reported gunfire aimed at the border checkpoint in the village of Gordeevka.

“Dear residents of the Korenevsky district, the border checkpoint in the village of Gordeevka was fired upon with firearms an hour ago. The return fire from Russian border guards has been suppressed. There are no casualties or damage on our side,” stated the district administration on its Vkontakte page, as reported by RIA Novosti.
