I Want to Apologize to Our Mutual Friends: Alen Simonian

I want to apologize to our mutual friends and the community for witnessing my emotional outburst; it was an emotional outburst, and I was more hurt as a friend. Alen Simonian, the Chairman of the National Assembly, stated this during a Facebook press conference in the studio of 'Azatutyun' when responding to a question from a user about his relationship with Haik Marutyan and the reason for his harsh response.

'I am an emotional person, and if I can empathize with someone, help them, or get angry about something, then I can take it very hard when my friend, with whom I have traveled and for whom I have forgiven many things, and with whom I had spoken as a friend just 10 days ago, tries to set everything aside and exploit my name, my reputation, after his departure. Frankly, the limit of forgiveness and ignoring was exhausted there, and I found it necessary to express these things. Again, I say I regret it; I acknowledge that I was emotional. During this time, I haven't severed ties with him; I wish him and his family nothing but good, let him continue his activities, I believe he will do better in that regard, and I do not wish to talk about him anymore. This is not about forgiving or not forgiving; during all the issues related to him, I have always been the first to take the hits regarding him. Why was it necessary to talk about me that day?'
