Zelensky: Weapons Supplied to Ukraine Came Too Late, Some European Leaders Changed Their Positions
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that certain types of weapons provided by Western partners have arrived too late. He made this remark in an interview with the Associated Press, excerpts of which were published by the president's office, according to "Evropeyskaya Pravda."
“All the equipment they are already sending—this is too late for certain types of equipment. We are losing thousands of people. From some country leaders, I see 100% support, and that’s really the case. But some European leaders have changed their positions, and you see the price of those changes,” Zelensky said.
When asked if Ukraine has received enough weapons to make a difference in the war, the President replied, “Not yet, not yet.”
Zelensky also mentioned that if Ukraine were a NATO member, this war would not be happening, or it would be perceived differently: “It would have proceeded differently; we would have had the support of our neighbors, and we could fight together. But I am confident that there would still be no war,” he added.
It is worth noting that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has promised Ukraine new military assistance, including armored vehicles and anti-ship weapons.
