‘The official statement of yesterday's meeting records our latest failure and retreat from fundamental principles’: Gayane Abrahamyan
Former MP Gayane Abrahamyan has commented on the meeting held yesterday between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev. She stated:
“The official statement of yesterday's meeting records our latest failure and retreat from fundamental principles. There is no word or reference regarding Nagorno-Karabakh, the security and rights of its residents, the conflict itself is absent, and the only legitimate body for resolving the conflict—the OSCE Minsk Group—is neglected. All issues have shifted exclusively to the Armenia-Azerbaijan domain, which is entirely against our interests. A retreat has also been made concerning the fundamental and vital principle of starting the demarcation-delineation process, specifically the non-use of force and the withdrawal of troops from the Republic of Armenia's sovereign territory, which is a consequence of mistakes made since May 12.”
“The ‘peace agreement’ is accompanied by actions of clear ethnic cleansing and threats of force; in reality, it has a completely different name.”
