Shots Fired in Yerevan: Damaged Lexus and Expended Shell Found on David Malyan Street

Today, on April 6, shots were fired in Yerevan. Around 11:30 AM, the police station of Nor Nork received operational information that gunfire had occurred in the yard of Building 2 on David Malyan Street.

According to Shamshyan.com, the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police, Hovhannes Aristakesyan, along with the operational group of the Nor Nork police department headed by Igor Mesropyan, promptly arrived at the scene. Officers from the 2nd Platoon of the 3rd Battalion of the Patrol Service of the Armenian Police, led by Battalion Commander Gor Arakelyan and Platoon Commander Gegham Yepranyan, also quickly arrived on-site. Currently, enhanced services are being performed by patrol officers Sargis Danielyan and Tigran Manukyan from the same platoon. Forensic experts from the Armenian Police's Forensic Department also arrived.

At the scene, the police discovered an expended cartridge fired from an unknown type of firearm, as well as a Lexus vehicle parked in the yard of the mentioned building, which showed signs of gunfire on its front end. Fortunately, there are no reported injuries.

In connection with the incident, Senior Investigator Ara Navassardyan from the Nor Nork Investigation Department is preparing materials. The police are taking necessary operational-intelligence measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to identify the shooter, as well as to locate them and the firearm.
