Important Announcement Expected: Polish Ambassador Discusses Upcoming Pashinyan-Aliyev Meeting

“Important announcement expected.” This was stated by the Polish ambassador, ahead of the upcoming meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev.

Pavel Cheplak believes that the details will be announced by the OSCE spokesperson from Vienna. “I hope it will be positive; at this stage, it would be unrealistic to promise anything, let’s wait for the spokesperson's statement,” he said.

The Polish ambassador also informed reporters that he personally attended the recent meeting between Armenia's Prime Minister and Poland's Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau in Yerevan. According to the diplomat, Pashinyan wanted to hear proposals from the Polish side and received a clear response.

The ambassador did not specify what proposals were discussed, only adding that the issue of reinstating the OSCE Minsk Group format was addressed with both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

It is noteworthy that tomorrow, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will meet on April 6 in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting is included in the agenda of European Council President Charles Michel for the upcoming week. A trilateral meeting is expected to take place between Pashinyan, Aliyev, and Michel.
