Shooting at a Nissan March with a Hunting Rifle in Gyumri
On April 3, the police received a report of gunfire from an automatic weapon near one of the shops in the Mush neighborhood of Gyumri. An operational-investigative group that arrived at the scene discovered two Mercedes cars that had collided, but no participants in the altercation were found.
Thanks to the operational and investigative measures taken by the Shirak Regional Police and the Mush division, it was established that around 5:30 PM, a 42-year-old man with a previous conviction fired at a Nissan March belonging to a fellow citizen due to a household dispute on Halabyan Street in Gyumri and fled the scene.
As a result of the measures taken, he was apprehended while in possession of a shortened hunting gun and a 16mm caliber rifle. He was taken to the Mush Police Department and subsequently presented to the prosecuting authority. The firearm was seized, and the man was arrested.
Additionally, the Nissan March vehicle, showing signs of gunfire damage, was discovered in the 1st micro-district of Vard Bag. The car has been removed to the storage area of the Mush Police Department. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
