Armed Forces Soldier Crashes Mercedes into Concrete Power Pole in Nor Geghi

Today, on April 4, an emergency incident occurred in the Kotayk region. Between 06:30 and 07:00, a 33-year-old local resident, Shiraz B., lost control of his Mercedes vehicle at the entrance of the village of Nor Geghi on the Abovyan-Nor Geghi highway, veering into oncoming traffic, colliding with a concrete power pole, bringing it down, and landing on stones, while also partially damaging a nearby residential fence.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the driver received first aid at the location from an emergency medical team that arrived promptly and was then transferred to the Abovyan Medical Center.

The driver underwent a sobriety test and was found to be sober. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, driver Shiraz B. is a soldier of the Armenian Ministry of Defense's N military unit.
