КАМАЗ Loaded with Stone Collides with VAZ-21150, Ends Up in Field and Overturns

Today, on April 3, a major traffic accident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. At around 16:40, on the 54 km section of the Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir M3 highway, near the beginning of the Ushi bends, 31-year-old Henxel Ohanyan, a resident of Hrazdan city, while driving his KAMAZ truck towards Yerevan, collided with the rear of a VAZ-21150 vehicle driven by 31-year-old Arman Stepanyan from Spitak. Following the collision, the KAMAZ traveled roughly 300 meters, ended up in a field, and overturned.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the accident based on preliminary information. The drivers underwent sobriety tests and were found to be sober.

The photojournalist reports that the KAMAZ was loaded with tuff stone, which spilled out due to the overturning, with several stones also being thrown onto the roadway. Fortunately, there were no vehicles or pedestrians passing by at that moment.

Preliminary information indicates that the cause of the accident was a technical issue with the vehicle.
