Emergency Situations Ministry Reports Road Closure Due to Bridge Damage

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roadways within the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and the K'ari lake are closed.

Due to the damage to the bridge on the M3 highway segment between Lusaghbyur and Yeraskhahun in the Armavir region, this section is closed for trucks. An alternative route via Aknashen-Gayi-Metsamor-Jrarat is operational.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian MES in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
