G7 Countries Refuse to Pay for Russian Gas in Rubles

France will not accept Russia's demand to pay for gas supplies in rubles, stated French Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“I want to remind you of the G7 statement, we will not accept the demand to pay in any currency other than that specified in the contracts. Contracts are agreements, and they must be strictly adhered to,” the minister said at a press conference in Berlin.
