Anna Hakobyan on Public Condemnation of Mothers and Women of Fallen Soldiers
The wife of the Prime Minister, Anna Hakobyan, has shared a video on her Facebook page addressing the issue of public condemnation faced by mothers and women of fallen soldiers in various wars in Artsakh.
She remarked that during an event organized in honor of International Women's Day, she highlighted that mothers who have lost their sons and either have had another child or plan to have one, or who participate in any joyful events, face criticism from society. Their decisions are not unanimously accepted by the public.
She read several examples of negative comments made on social media about the women who attended the event and urged bereaved mothers to be strong.
It is worth noting that the event organized by Anna Hakobyan on March 26, dedicated to Women's Month and attended by mothers, women, sisters, and grandmothers of soldiers who have fallen in all previous wars in Artsakh, has recently sparked controversy.
