Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff Releases Statement

The thirtieth phase of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion has begun. This was reported by the country's Armed Forces General Staff in a bulletin on the morning of March 28.

The statement specifically mentions: "The Defense Forces continue defensive operations in the eastern, southeastern, and northeastern directions. Defensive battles are ongoing in the areas of Topolskoye, Kamyanka, and Dri Kamyanka. Our troops are effectively repelling the enemy's advances in the directions of Hulyaipole and Zaporizhzhia.

Defensive operations continue in the Volyn and Siversk directions, addressing other tasks in the mentioned operational segments. The situation is controllable, with no significant changes. The grouping of forces and the defense of the city of Kyiv are holding back the enemy, which is attempting to break through defenses from the northwest and east, aiming to take control of key highways and settlements.

In the south, the main efforts of the Defense Forces are focused on organizing defensive measures in Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv, as well as maintaining designated coastal sections and protecting critical infrastructure facilities. Work is ongoing in these areas to stabilize territorial defense and fulfill tasks.

In the Donetsk and Luhansk directions, the united forces grouping has reported five enemy attacks daily. Ukrainian soldiers have destroyed 2 tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, and one vehicle. The enemy also suffered human casualties, with details pending confirmation.
