Fraud Increases in Russian Market Amid Demand for 'Sanctioned' Brands

Fraudsters have become more active in Russia, taking advantage of the surging demand for products from several Western brands that have announced their exit from the market, Ivan Solovyov, advisor to the president of the Association of Veterans of Internal Affairs and Internal Troops of Russia, told RIA Novosti.

“By exploiting the fact of sanctions and the growing demand for products from a number of Western brands that have left Russia, fraudsters are luring Russians remotely,” Solovyov mentioned to RIA Novosti.
