Armenian National Security Service Searches Ministry of Emergency Situations

This morning, approximately 4 hours ago, the Armenian National Security Service (ANSS) entered the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). A search is currently underway in the office of Minister Andranik Piloyan's advisor, Ashot Hakobyan. This information was reported by Hraparak.am, citing its sources.

According to the media outlet, the target is the minister, however, actions are still being carried out in his advisor's office, which is one floor below the minister's office.

The news outlet contacted MES spokesperson Anna Baghdasaryan, but she did not respond to their calls. Hraparak also reached out to a regular employee of MES who confirmed the news and mentioned that the entire ministry is in a state of anxiety. No explanations have been provided to anyone, and all employees are locked in their offices, awaiting the conclusion of the ANSS operations.

It was not clear what criminal case the search was related to; however, just days ago, rumors were circulating that the Prime Minister was planning to replace several ministers, including the name of the MES minister.
