What is the Situation on Roads in Armenia: Emergency Ministry

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in Armenia.

The Berd-Chambarak road and the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles.

The Vanadzor-Dilijan road, inter-community roads in the Ashotsk region of Shirak Province, and the Alaverdi-Jiliza roads in Lori Province are difficult to navigate.

Black ice is present in places on the Dilijan twists and the roads in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn Province.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia’s North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
