Approximately 12 Percent of Vedi Voters Participate in Elections
Today, elections for the council are being held in the consolidated community of Vedi in the Ararat region based on a proportional representation system. This was reported by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
The elections feature participation from the "My Strong Community" and "Civil Contract" political parties.
A total of 28 polling stations have been established in 19 populated areas of the community to conduct the elections. All 28 polling stations opened as scheduled at 8:00 AM according to the procedures set by the Armenian Electoral Code, welcoming the first voters.
For the electronic registration of voters, 62 pieces of technical equipment are being utilized.
Two local non-governmental organizations and the "Independent Observer" civic alliance have been accredited to carry out monitoring missions during the elections.
Additionally, six media outlets have been accredited to cover the elections and voting.
The number of participants in the voting will be published on the Central Electoral Commission's website at three-hour intervals starting from 12:00 PM today.
