Road Closures and Difficult Passages Across Armenia, Reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within Armenia.

The roads connecting Vardaghbyur to Musayelyan in Shirak Province, and those leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake in Aragatsotn Province are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult for other types of vehicles.

The Vanadzor-Dilijan, Saravan-Zanger, Alaverdi-Jilizah roads in Lori Province, and the twists of Stepanavan are difficult for trucks with trailers. Snowfall has been reported in Vayots Dzor Province, in the city of Kapan in Syunik Province, and in the area known as "Meghru Sar." There is black ice in places on all roads of Syunik Province, as well as on the Ashotzk-Amassia road in Shirak Province, Aragatsotn Province's Aragats region, and the Yelpin-Zangakatun roads.

Regarding Lars, information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia states that the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
