Criminal Case Opened for Illegal Seizure of Village and Nearby Heights

The Artsakh Investigative Committee reports that a criminal case has been initiated regarding a violation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Artsakh.

"The territorial investigation department of the Askeran district of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Artsakh accepted the case concerning armed personnel of the Azerbaijani armed forces entering the Parukh community, located within the responsibility zone of the Russian peacekeeping forces in the Askeran district of the Republic of Artsakh, in violation of the law on the administrative division of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, at approximately 16:00 on March 24, 2022. The case involves the illegal seizure of the community using weapons or threats of their use, and the occupation of the heights nearby, thereby violating the territorial integrity of the Republic of Artsakh. A criminal case has been opened under Article 313 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh. The preliminary investigation is ongoing," the statement said.
