Video: Drones Also Used, As Far As I Know It's About 'Bayraktars': Aghajanyan
The ongoing situation in Artsakh is yet another manifestation of Azerbaijan's efforts to deny the Armenian population of Artsakh their right to live in their homeland, stated Eduard Aghajanyan, the head of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, during a meeting with journalists.
According to him, the area is under the responsibility of Russian peacekeepers and the main issue lies with Russian partners. “We need to understand the circumstances surrounding this advancement because, in fact, as a result of this advancement, Azerbaijani armed forces are now behind Russian peacekeepers. Again, this is within the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers, according to the relevant provision of the tripartite statement from November 9. Therefore, we expect to receive clear answers about what has led to this situation. We hope that this issue will be resolved in the shortest possible time and that Azerbaijan will return to the initial positions from which the advancement occurred,” Aghajanyan announced.
He noted that the Azerbaijani armed forces had occupied several positions. “As far as I know, it concerns Karaklkh,” Aghajanyan said.
He also mentioned that both at night and today, there have been local military operations, resulting in injuries. “Drones have also been used, as far as I know, it's about 'Bayraktars.' They have also hit some positions of the Defense Army. This is about an escalation process, and our priorities regarding this matter are directed towards our Russian partners, because the zone of responsibility where these processes are occurring should be excluded through Russian peacekeepers,” emphasized the member of the ruling party.
