By zeroing customs duties, we hope export volumes will increase sharply. This was stated by the Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan in the National Assembly, responding to a question from Hovik Aghazaryan regarding whether payments are stable and not dependent on the total amount exported.

Kerobyan noted that the payments are stable; they are not a percentage of the total exported amount, but rather a customs fee, a payment for processing, which differs very little for small and large products.

“By zeroing customs duties, we hope that export volumes will increase sharply, because in our opinion, we are removing such an obstacle that will significantly increase export opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises,” said Kerobyan.
