VIDEO: Director of a Well-Known Company Detained by Police in a Hummer

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, on March 18, officers from the community police department of the Arabkir Division of the Police, led by the head of the department, Yervand Nikoyan, in cooperation with officers from the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan city police and patrol police of the Yerevan Brigade's 3rd battalion, detained 29-year-old Tigran Ghazaryan, a resident of Yerevan, on suspicion of illegal possession and use of narcotic substances during an intensified police operation on Baghramyan Avenue.

Ghazaryan was operating a Hummer vehicle. He presented police with a polyethylene bag containing a greenish substance weighing a total of 1.25 grams, claiming it was marijuana, which he had obtained from a deserted field near Abovyan city by harvesting it from a cannabis plant for personal use. Additionally, he had a crystalline substance weighing 0.68 grams, which he identified as amphetamine, purchased via the “Tor Browser” website for personal use.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, materials regarding the incident are being prepared in the investigative department of the Arabkir Division of the Police. A forensic examination has been appointed. It has also been reported that Tigran Ghazaryan, who is the director of one of the well-known companies, has been released.
