VIDEO: New Details on the Explosion in Yerevan

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia is conducting investigative and procedural actions in connection with a criminal case initiated under Article 279, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, regarding the circumstances of an explosion that occurred in one of the houses on Arin Berd 4th Lane in Yerevan, as reported to NEWS.am by the Investigative Committee.

On March 21, 2022, at 08:50, a citizen reported that there were sounds of an explosion in one of the houses on Arin Berd 4th Lane at around 08:20, after which the building collapsed.

As a result of the measures taken, it was determined that the explosion was caused by a gas leak, leading to the collapse of the mentioned house, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old male resident who was renting in that house. He has been recognized as a victim, and necessary examinations have been appointed. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
