Russian officials urge against panic buying of sugar and buckwheat
Victoria Abramchenko, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, has urged citizens not to panic and refrain from buying sugar and buckwheat in large quantities.
“We are fully self-sufficient in both sugar and buckwheat. There is no need to panic and purchase these products in large amounts. There will be enough for everyone,” said Abramchenko.
“I emphasize that the stocks of sugar and buckwheat are sufficient to meet domestic demand,” she highlighted.
