Rally in Support of Russia Held in Yerevan
Today, a large-scale rally was organized in Yerevan in support of Russia. Participants arrived carrying the flags of the Russian Federation and Armenia, holding banners reading "For Denazification and Humanity," "For Truth," "For Justice," and "The Ally Against Fascism is Close," as well as the symbols "Z" and "V," representing military operations.
Representatives from political and social organizations participating in the event delivered speeches. Haik Babukhanyan, president of the "Union of Constitutional Rights" party and a member of the executive committee of the movement "Strong Armenia with Russia: For a New Union," stated that Armenia must stand alongside Russia, as the brotherhood of the two nations has been proven on the battlefield. Russian soldiers today are stationed at the borders of Armenia and in Artsakh.
"We have gathered to say 'no' to Nazism. We have been victims of Nazism throughout our history. We witnessed it in 1915, which was indeed Nazism. We have seen the grotesque and bloodthirsty face of that Nazism in Artsakh, we have seen it everywhere. Our ancestors fought against Nazism in the Great Patriotic War, and today we say that it is Nazism that violates the right of nations to self-determination. It is Nazism that claims there is no equality among nations," he said.
Tigran Urikhanyan, president of the "Alliance" party, emphasized that they gathered for a strong and united Armenia. "Those who have strong friends are strong. Friends who are strong, honest, and moral. We are participating in this event to provide moral support to our strategic partner," he stated.
After the speeches, the participants of the rally marched towards the Russian Embassy.
