Quota Established for Importing Electric Vehicles to Armenia without Customs Duties

The State Revenue Committee informs that during a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council held in Moscow on March 17, 2022, a decision was made regarding the import of certain types of electric vehicles to the EAEU customs territory, involving amendments to various legal acts of the EAEU and the EEU commissions.

It has been decided to establish a quota for the import of electric vehicles classified under EAEU code 8703 80 000 2 to Armenia without the payment of import customs duties, with the following quantities: 7000 units for 2022 and 8000 units for 2023.

The decision also stipulates that the export of these vehicles to the territory of the Russian Federation is possible only upon payment of the import customs duties calculated at the rates of the EAEU unified customs tariff. This tariff exemption is valid until December 31, 2023.
