Yerevan Under Threat from Turks: Rally of Displaced Persons from Artsakh
Displaced individuals from Artsakh staged a protest in front of the government today, demanding that authorities address the security and humanitarian issues facing Artsakh.
“Yesterday the Turks made some progress; they have evacuated women and children, which gives rise to concern and fear. During the last war and previous ones, I have said that the ones who hold the land are women and children. If they leave, the soldier will flee. We want the authorities to solve the problems before them, but they are doing nothing,” noted Levon Hayriyan, head of the 'For Hadrut' NGO.
When asked who he sees if the current authorities change, he emphasized that it couldn’t be worse than the current situation since they are paralyzed.
“They often say that we gave up Shushi and Hadrut, and if we give up a couple more things, everything will be over. Know this well: Yerevan is under the threat of Turks, and the Armenian authorities do not see all of this. Turkey’s goal is not Stepanakert, Armenian people, do not sleep, be more vigilant,” said a participant of the rally.
