The Operating Landfills of Nubarashen and Ajapnyak Face Closure Challenges, Says Minister

We are facing challenges in closing the operating landfills of Nubarashen and Ajapnyak. This was stated by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, during a meeting of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agricultural Affairs, and Environmental Protection.

“We need to implement works for the construction of a new landfill. It is in the design phase, the competition has been announced, and there are price proposals from companies. We are currently discussing those proposals,” said Sanosyan.

The minister noted that it is a slow process, but it is important to address the issue. “There are aesthetic, environmental, and health issues that need to be resolved,” Sanosyan added.
