Bank Employee Embezzles 1 Million AMD and Places a 630 Thousand AMD Bet

A resident of Stepanakert, born in 1988, has embezzled 1 million AMD from the bank where he works, driven by selfish motives. This information was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Artsakh.

"On March 4, 2022, he secretly embezzled a package containing 1,000,000 AMD in thousand-dram notes and placed a bet of 630,000 AMD on the same day. A criminal case has been initiated in accordance with Article 183, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of Artsakh (theft committed in a large amount)," the statement said. The investigation is ongoing.
