Snow Cover Height in Hrazdan, Aparan, and Jermuk Ranges from 60 to 90 cm

Due to the activity of an active cyclone, heavy snowfall has been observed throughout the Republic. The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center reports that the snow cover height as of today is 10-40 cm in Tavush, 17-43 cm in Lori, 20-50 cm in mountainous areas, and 60-90 cm in the Hrazdan, Aparan, and Jermuk regions.

In the high mountainous areas of the Republic, the snow cover height near the summit of Aragats is 234 cm, and 103 cm in Amberd. Today, during the day, snowfall will persist throughout the Republic, gradually tapering off in the evening hours. On March 16, snowfall will continue only in Vayots Dzor, Syunik, and Artsakh.

The air temperature is expected to decrease by 6-8 degrees throughout the Republic on the nights of March 16 and 17.
