Killing the Enemy Is Not a Sin: Ukrainian Church Leader

Killing the enemy and wishing death upon them is not a sin, stated Epiphanius, the leader of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“We do not wish death upon our neighbors. But since they have come to our home, we are defending our family, our homeland, our land. Our soldiers protect all Ukrainians. Killing the enemy is not a sin; we are defending ourselves, we do not seek what belongs to others. Those who come at us with a sword will die by the sword,” he said during a televised marathon.
