A Russian Army Soldier of Armenian Descent Killed in Ukraine
19-year-old Davit Harutyunyan was serving in the Russian armed forces under a contract. The motorized column, which included Davit, came under artillery fire.
According to media reports, Davit sustained several fatal shrapnel wounds after pulling a wounded comrade out of the vehicle and moving him to a shelter.
Private Harutyunyan was posthumously awarded the "Medal of Courage."
