What Was Discussed During the Ukraine-Russia-Turkey Meeting: Details from the US
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The parties discussed the results of Kuleba's recent trilateral talks in Antalya with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. This was reported by the US State Department.
The statement said that Blinken informed Kuleba about the coordinated joint actions by the US, G7, and EU aimed at increasing pressure on Russia.
“He reaffirmed the US commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as continued security, economic, and humanitarian support for the Ukrainian people as they face increasingly brutal bombardments by Russian forces,” the State Department noted.
The interlocutors expressed concern that Russia is expanding its disinformation campaign, attempting to mislead the global community, including the UN.
The Secretary presented the efforts of the US and the global community to hold Russia accountable for its deliberate, unprovoked, and unjustified war against Ukraine. He also outlined the steps to hold Belarus accountable for supporting Russian aggression.
