VIDEO: Yes, so what, nothing, Azerbaijan should not divert us from the path of establishing peace in the region: President
In international relations, I will be guided by the program adopted by the Government. This was stated by Vahagn Khachaturyan, the newly elected President of Armenia, during a conversation with reporters.
“The President of Armenia is not constrained in any way in terms of working with the political sector and political forces in general, but that does not mean that the President's foreign policy should be independent and not aligned with the foreign policy of the government,” said the President.
In response to a question regarding the Azerbaijani attacks on the border while the Armenian authorities aim to open a period of peace, Khachaturyan said, “Yes, so what, nothing, no one, including Azerbaijan, should divert us from that path. We must be able to truly establish peace in our region. We must defend ourselves, and while defending ourselves, we should say that we should not be spoken to in that manner,” Vahagn Khachaturyan stated.
