Earthquake 15 km Northeast of Bavra Settlement

On March 10, at 21:26 local time (17:26 GMT), a magnitude 2.6 earthquake was registered by the seismic protection territorial service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia. The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Armenia-Georgia border zone, 15 km northeast of the Bavra settlement, at a depth of 10 km.

The intensity of the tremor in the epicentral area was measured at 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the Bavra and Saragyugh settlements of the Shirak Province at a magnitude of 3, and in the city of Tashir, as well as the villages of Metsavan and Sarchapet in the Lori Province at a magnitude of 2-3.
