The Case of Assaulting Ararat Mirzoyan Stalls
The newspaper "Aravot" has learned that the criminal case regarding the assault on Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in his capacity as Speaker of the National Assembly on November 10, 2020, is at a standstill. The accused in the case pointed out in an interview that the investigative body has not conducted any investigative operations involving them for a considerable amount of time.
It is interesting to note what the NSS has been investigating for one year and four months without being able to reach any conclusions.
Recall that on the night of November 9-10, 2020, following the announcement of the agreement reached between the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the cessation of hostilities, mass riots occurred in various regions of the Republic of Armenia, especially in state buildings in the capital, Yerevan, including the government and National Assembly buildings.
Additionally, on the same day, the former President of the National Assembly and current Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan was assaulted in Yerevan.
