Stabbing at 'Parvana' Restaurant Complex: Doctors Fight for Victim's Life
On March 9, a stabbing incident occurred at the 'Parvana' restaurant complex in Yerevan, owned by former MP and businessman Samvel Aleksanyan.
According to Shamshyan.com, at 00:50, the Malatya division of the police received a call from the Astghik Medical Center reporting that a citizen had been admitted with a diagnosis of "cut and stab wound to the anterior abdominal wall." A police operational group, led by the head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Raffi Bagratuni, was dispatched to the hospital.
The doctors informed the police that the victim was unable to provide any explanation regarding the incident. While the medical team fought for the victim's life, Malatya police officers, under the direction of Raffi Bagratuni, established that the victim was 24-year-old Karen S., a resident of the Ararat region, who was transferred to the hospital after an altercation at the 'Parvana' restaurant complex.
Moreover, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Malatya division, along with officers from the Yerevan Police Department, led by head Hovhannes Aristakesyan, determined that the stabbing had been perpetrated by 17-year-old Vrej D., a resident of Yerevan. Following explanatory work by the police, Vrej D. voluntarily presented himself to the Malatya division, bringing along the knife used in the crime.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. Vrej D. has been released, and Karen S. has been issued a referral for forensic medical examination.
