Powerful Explosion Reported in Luhansk

A powerful explosion has been reported in the southwestern part of Luhansk. The sound was heard across all districts of the city, accompanied by a strong shockwave, according to TASS agency.

Shortly thereafter, the local mobile operator 'Lugakom' experienced a significant deterioration in service quality. The circumstances surrounding the explosion are being clarified.

On February 24, early in the morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the commencement of a special military operation in Ukrainian territory, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing Ukraine's 'Nazi regime.' The U.S. and the EU have assessed this action by Russia as direct aggression against Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, subsequently imposing a series of sanctions against Russia.
