DAF Truck Ends Up in Ravine after Towing by KamAZ in Vayots Dzor Region
On March 9, an emergency incident occurred around 14:15 on the 160th km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, near the "Gandzasar" restaurant complex. A 62-year-old resident of Shirak, Marat Hakobyan, was driving a DAF truck without a trailer when, during a strong towing process, it rolled approximately 200 meters into a ravine.
According to Shamshyan.com, fortunately, there were no casualties reported. Investigations into the incident are underway.
As per G. Shamshyan's sources, the DAF truck was being towed by a 29-year-old Suren Makaryan from Syunik, who was driving a KamAZ truck. The towing broke in a winding section of the road, causing the DAF to roll into the ravine. The driver of the DAF truck was with the KamAZ driver at the time of the incident.
