Major Car Accident in Kotayk Region: Volkswagen Crosses Lane and Collides with Mercedes, Injuries Reported

Today, on March 8, a major car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 11:20 AM, on the 23rd kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the driver of a still unidentified vehicle created an emergency situation for 26-year-old M. Hakobyan, a resident of the Kotayk region. While driving a Volkswagen, Hakobyan crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Mercedes being driven by 30-year-old V. Babayan, who was heading towards Hrazdan.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver who created the emergency situation fled the scene. As a result of the accident, both drivers received first aid at the scene from doctors of the 'Abovyan' medical center and were then transported to the hospital.

Authorities are preparing materials on the incident. The police and investigative department are taking necessary operational and investigative actions to identify the driver responsible for creating the emergency situation and to locate the vehicle.
