A schoolboy from Zaporizhzhia has crossed the Ukraine-Slovakia border alone. His parents remain in Ukraine. This information was reported by the press service of the Slovak Ministry of Interior.
According to the report, the 11-year-old boy arrived on the night of March 5, carrying a polyethylene bag, his passport, and a handwritten note with his relatives' phone numbers. His father and mother were forced to stay in their home country.
The child was taken care of by volunteers, who used the provided phone number to contact the boy's relatives, who soon came to pick him up.
It is noted that, according to recent data, approximately 1.5 million people have left Ukraine due to the special military operation initiated by the Russian Federation.
