Russia Suffers 10,000 Casualties, Claims Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff
From February 24 to March 5, the total personnel losses of Russian troops in Ukraine amount to approximately over 10,000 individuals. This is stated in a report by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The report also mentions that the Ukrainian side has shot down 39 aircraft, 40 helicopters, 269 tanks, 945 armored combat vehicles, 105 artillery systems, 19 air defense systems, 50 multiple launch rocket systems, 60 fuel and lubricants tanks, 3 drones, 2 motorboats, and 409 units of automotive equipment.
According to the data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian side has reported 498 casualties in Ukraine.
It is recalled that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a special military operation aimed at the demilitarization of Ukraine.
