Evacuation of People from Mariupol Canceled

The Mariupol City Council reports that the Russian side is not maintaining the ceasefire and continues to shell both Mariupol and its surroundings. Due to security concerns, the evacuation has been canceled at this time.

Additionally, the Ukrainian side had earlier confirmed the Russian Ministry of Defense's statement regarding the temporary transition to a "ceasefire mode." People in Mariupol have gathered in the streets trying to leave, but to no avail.
