UK Plans to House Ukrainian Refugees in Properties Seized from Russian Oligarchs
The authorities in the United Kingdom plan to house Ukrainian refugees in properties seized from Russian oligarchs. This was reported by The Times.
UK Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab announced that the government could confiscate the oligarchs' mansions in London and use them to accommodate Ukrainian refugees. The government is expected to propose a ban shortly on oligarchs hiring expensive legal firms to protect their wealth, he said.
Additionally, it is noted that the assets of prominent Russian businessmen Alisher Usmanov and Igor Shuvalov will be frozen, preventing them from traveling within the UK.
