Head-On Collision Between Mercedes and Opel in Proushyan Village: Police Officer Hospitalized

Today, on March 4, a major traffic accident occurred in the Kotayk Province. At approximately 2:20 AM, in the administrative territory of Proushyan village, a head-on collision took place between a Mercedes, driven by 43-year-old Eduard Shaboyan from Yerevan, and an Opel, driven by 30-year-old Nersik Khachaturyan from Kasakh village.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver of the Opel was transported to the "Ashtarak" medical center with bodily injuries.

The photojournalist reports that the driver responsible for the accident is the driver of the Mercedes, who entered the oncoming traffic lane in an unauthorized area, creating a hazardous situation for the Opel driver traveling towards Yerevan, before colliding with the Opel.

The driver of the Opel is the head of the juvenile department at the Ashtarak division of the police.

A patrol team from the Nairi police division promptly arrived at the scene, led by the responsible duty officer for the day.
