Robert Ghukasyan Appointed Governor of Syunik Province
The government made a decision during its session today, March 3, to appoint Robert Ghukasyan, who was the advisor to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and coordinated government programs in the Syunik province, as the governor of Syunik. Prior to this, Meliksepyan Poghosyan was relieved from this position.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Meliksepyan Poghosyan for his work in the role of governor. “I am confident that we will involve Mr. Poghosyan’s potential in addressing the agenda issues our country faces. Mr. Ghukasyan, you know, has been the head of the working group on Syunik province issues during this period, and we have such a proposal to empower him to continue this work in the capacity of governor of Syunik province,” he said.
Ghukasyan thanked for the trust placed in him regarding the governor's position. “For over a year, the working group has been active in Syunik province, and many issues have been resolved there. We still have a lot to do. I assure you that I will do my utmost to meet the expectations of the people of Syunik and yourselves,” said Robert Ghukasyan.
Earlier, we reported that Robert Ghukasyan had been relieved from his position as advisor to the Prime Minister.
