Macron Invites Pashinyan to France
In connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and France, French President Emmanuel Macron sent a message to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“On February 24, France and Armenia celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Thanks to the close friendship that has linked the French and Armenian peoples for centuries, our two countries have built a strong, diverse, and promising partnership over the past three decades in favor of the future. I am pleased that our political, cultural, and economic interactions continue to strengthen, thanks to the adoption of a roadmap for economic cooperation, the provision of vaccine doses to support Armenia in combating the pandemic, and the recent establishment of the French Institute in Armenia.
To celebrate this day and realize our shared aspirations, I would like to organize a meeting in Paris on March 9 with the participation of actors in French-Armenian cooperation. This dialogue platform, aimed at steadfastly guiding us towards the future, will unite French and Armenian senior officials, local government bodies, businesses, associations, and numerous individuals from various fields.
It will provide an opportunity for all those who bring our cultural, scientific, and economic relations to life to outline long-term structural projects aimed at contributing to the sustainable development and prosperity of Armenia, with a special emphasis on the youth of your country. I would be pleased to welcome you in Paris on this occasion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries.
You can count on France's decisive mobilization, both bilaterally and within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, to achieve the adoption and implementation of de-escalation measures aimed at the lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Rest assured that France will be fully committed to strengthening our partnership in the coming years to face the many challenges of the modern world.
Yours sincerely, Mr. Prime Minister,” the message states.
