Japan's Prime Minister: "Today a decision was made to freeze the assets of Russian oligarchs"
Japan's government has decided to freeze the assets of "Russian oligarchs." This announcement was made by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during a press conference in Tokyo on Thursday, according to TASS.
“Today a decision was made to freeze the assets of Russian oligarchs,” he stated.
The Japanese leader emphasized that financial sanctions from Japan, Europe, and the United States, including the disconnection of Russian banks from the international SWIFT payment system, are necessary steps aimed at isolating Russia from the international payment system and the global economy.
It is worth recalling that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation for the demilitarization of Ukraine.
