New Decision Regarding Mask Wearing

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia has announced: “The epidemiological situation regarding the coronavirus disease in the Republic of Armenia is assessed as stable. In light of the changing circumstances, the Ministry of Health has initiated the easing of restrictions.

The mandatory requirement to wear masks in indoor spaces has been lifted, except for organizations providing medical assistance and services. In all other indoor spaces, it is recommended to wear masks, changing them every 3-4 hours as necessary.

This change will come into effect the day after the official publication.

It should be noted that in the last 14 days, there have been 11,775 recorded cases of the disease, which is a 69% decrease compared to the same period last year (37,459 cases). The proportion of positive test results in the last 14 days has been 18.1%, down from the previous 37.9%.

Furthermore, decisions regarding restrictions by the Ministry of Health are based on the epidemiological situation and may be revised accordingly.
